Blue Apple Property Management – A silly name with a sentimental reason: John Pratt, my father, started our family business in 1995. When he passed away in 2007, we had a choose a name for the successor company. We decided to honor John… John, my dad, always wanted to grow apple trees. One year about 2004, he finally had one tiny apple growing. All summer the family watched it grow and ripen. Dad decided to wait one more day to pick it, and sure enough a squirrel took it before he did! Blue was John’s favorite color and thinking of him tending those silly apple trees, gives me fond memories.

Company History:

Over the years, John focused on developing the Highlands Ranch market. Shelley Olson joined the ranks in 2001 working as an assistant, and after completing her real estate course work, she moved from customer service to be more directly involved in leasing and sales.

Here are a few company milestones:

From 2001 to the present, our company has seen tremendous growth in Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, and Parker.

In March 2005 the company opened its second office in Centennial serving the South Aurora, Centennial, and E-470 corridor areas.

In 2006–2009, Metro Brokers Blue Apple experienced explosive growth throughout the Denver Metro area.

In spring 2009 we outgrew our Centennial office and set up shop in the Denver Tech Center. Later, we moved just a bit west to enjoy a larger office in Centennial.

Meet Our Crew

Baak and Associates, our Blue Apple bookkeeper, joined with us in June 2008. Our accountant lives and breathes accounting every day, and is very adept at handling tenant needs, owner questions, repair issues, and general running of our office. Additionally, they enjoy all Colorado has to offer: mountain biking, hiking, and the great outdoors!

Shelley Olson, GRI, a graduate of the University of Colorado – Boulder, has been working in property management since 2001, and is also a licensed real estate broker.

Shelley has served as chair of the South Metro Denver Board of Realtors (SMDRA) Property Managers Group in 2008 and 2009; she also received the prestigious GRI designation (Graduate of Realtor Institute) and adds that expertise to our company. Other professional memberships include the Colorado Association of Realtors (CAR) and National Association of Realtors (NAR).

In her personal life, Shelley is a mother of 3 beautiful children, and enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with friends.
