Castle Rock, Colorado Information

Deep down you knew it was possible. To take the best of a new home - the openness, the big closets, the wonder of modern plumbing - and combine it with the beauty and character of an old home.  Renting in this gorgeous community is a pleasure!

The Meadows at Historic Castle Rock is a whole community being built around this idea of enriching the new with the old. And it's happening in one of the prettiest and most conveniently located places on the Front Range. You can find many unique and wonderful qualities in this suburb of Denver.

The Meadows has something for just about everybody. Patterned after the communities of a simpler, more neighborly time, The Meadows consist of a series of neighborhoods each with its own personality. Planned amenities are abundant, from modern recreation facilities to old-fashioned neighborhood parks. And all are interconnected with a marvelous open space/trail network.

At the heart of this idea is Castle Rock, which has its own lovable blend of old and new. Living in Castle Rock puts you close to the kinds of shops, restaurants and community events that give small towns such a big place in our hearts.

Most folks around Denver know of Castle Rock, but not many know about it. They don't know about its history. They haven't experienced its charm. The great locally owned restaurants. The excellent coffee shops. The place that lets little girls dress up in turn-of-the-century gowns and have tea parties. The festivals that commemorate local heritage.

But Castle Rock has more than the trappings of a historic small town. It has the heart as well. People on the street greet each other. Friends gather in cafes to share the daily news. Drivers will even let you into traffic. Some think it's a remnant of the past. Others are working to make it a pattern for the future.

The Castle Rock Outlet Mall attracts shoppers from the entire Denver and Front Range Area.  This amazing mall offers great prices, a play area for children, outlet type bargains, a food court and much more.  It is located very near the Meadows Subdivision in Castle Rock.  Renters in this area will love the convenience of shopping at these great stores.

Yes, you knew it was possible to create a place like this. Still, it's truly refreshing to see it finally happen. We invite you to come down and have a look around.

Rugged, rolling terrain and Castle Rock's classic, small town ambiance

combine to create a uniquely attractive, and pure Colorado setting for this new, master-planned community. The streets are peaceful and kid-friendly. And the beauty of the great outdoors is always there beckoning just a few steps away. Enjoy amazing views of the Front Range!

Location: I-25 south to Meadows Parkway (exit 84) West to Meadows Blvd. Right on Meadows Blvd.

Some local history:
Castle Rock was named the official seat of Douglas County in 1874 and was incorporated in 1881. Historical landmarks abound throughout the town.

Turn-of-the-century buildings bear the trademark pinkish-gray rhyolite stone that brought settlers here to the quarries and put Castle Rock on the map. The old sawmill and railroad tracks echo the town's heyday. The former rail station now serves as the local history museum.

The Meadows has embraced the things that make Castle Rock so special - its relaxed pace, its passion for the outdoors, its appreciation for the arts and its love of home, family and community.

The Meadows' unique commitment to culture and the arts will be vividly expressed in its cultural arts facility, The Grange. Imagine a neighborhood facility that could have art exhibitions and special performances, as well as workshops on writing, painting, photography and so forth.

At The Meadows, nature will never be more than a short stroll from every home's front door. With its swaths of natural open space, gorgeous landscaped parks and resting places, and its miles of trails, The Meadows will meld Colorado's love of the outdoors with the amenities of the 21st century.
